Notes

The second of collaborations by Ma Ja Le & James Johnson.  Both “Methane Sea” and “Seed” appeared on the “Live Under A Harvest Moon” limited edition cd.  These definitive studio versions and other new tracks grew out of a year’s worth of recording and improvisation.

The cd title “Seed” comes from a painting by Christopher Short, which was later to become the cover art.

The original group photograph, later manipulated by Paul, was taken by Rashelle State-Hootman, the wife of Vir Unis.  Also of note: The photo was taken on the night of the “Aqua-Culture" performance by Chris, James and Vir Unis at Chicago’s Blum Garten Gallery.

“Seed” is mastered in the HDCD format and is the first space music CD to be so.
